A Culture Shift
The thesis proposes a design of a cultural district to uplift the deprived community of English Avenue through social infrastructure. The aim is to reuse the English Avenue school for music and art to provide access to education, resources and opportunities to emerging artists in and around the neighborhood. This will act as a catalyst to restore the African American culture for social, economic and environmental sustainability.
